What can I expect at the 15 minute free consultation call?
Our scheduled phone or zoom call (your choice) will include a short introduction and then I will ask what type of services you are seeking. We will discuss options and then determine if counseling or coaching is best for you. We will discuss costs and the billing process.
What can I expect in my first counseling session?
Our first session is a chance to build rapport, get a sense of your goals, and get the information I need to come up with a diagnosis. We can discuss your diagnosis, if you want. I do not give advise or skills in the first session, and often times not even in the second. I believe that I have to earn the right first, which means I need to learn about you first.
What can I expect in my first coaching session?
Coaching sessions start out much like counseling sessions, but with less questions. We will focus on your goals and begin to discuss any obstacles you have faced.
How much does it cost?
Transparency of costs is important to me. Counseling is a set hourly fee. I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide you with a super bill so you can bill your insurance (insurances vary on reimbursement). Coaching is a bundled package that varies by needs and will be determined following the free consultation call. Training and consultation services vary depending on need and individual service agreements are created prior to beginning services.
–Individual Counseling: $160/ hr
–Relationship Counseling: $170/ hr for 2 people or $190/ hr for 3+people
–Licensure Supervision: $135/ hr
Do I provide in-person services?
At this time in-person services are only provided for training and consultation services where a workspace is provided as part of the service contract. Secure virtual services are available for counseling, coaching, and licensure supervision.
Is tele-therapy for me?
Talking to someone about your emotions or problems over a video screen is not for everyone. It could be because of a discomfort with technology or that is feels more impersonal, and I get how hard both those things can be. My suggestion, let’s meet on zoom and talk about it. You may find that it just doesn’t work for you, or you may feel just fine about it.
